Downtown Charlotte
Cosmos Café is everything from the perfect beginning to
an evening of drinks with friends, to an uptown destination for food and
drink and a convenient place to wind up your adventures with savory choices
from our late menu (available until 1AM) or coffee and dessert. We are
conveniently located two blocks from Time
Warner Cable Arena, home of the Charlotte
Bobcats and the Charlotte Checkers, and host to a variety of shows,
concerts and other national entertainment year round. Cosmos is also adjacent
to Charlotte's finest clubs, like dance club The
Forum and Alley Cat, a live
rock club.
Arts lovers will find Cosmos perfectly situated near uptown's museums,
theatres and galleries. One block south is the Blumenthal
Performing Arts Center, home to Opera
Carolina, the North
Carolina Dance Theatre and the Charlotte
Symphony Orchestra. Directly across from our location is the nationally
acclaimed Publc Library of
Charlotte Mecklenburg and the historic performing and visual arts
venue Spirit
Square Center for the Arts.
One block to the west you'll find Discovery
Place science museum complete with IMAX dome theatre, while one block
to the east is the acclaimed children's library and theatre, ImaginOn.
You're also just a short walk to the Mint
Museum of Craft + Design and the McColl
Center for Visual Art.
If you're traveling via light rail, we are conveniently located on the
Lynx
Blue Line - exit at the 7th Street Station. If you're traveling by
car, we're in the I-277 loop, off I-77.
